As someone who buys a LOT of plumbing parts & pieces (I renovate old apartment buildings & houses for a living), I tend to avoid the cheap and the trendy and stick with the classics that are tried and true. Unfortunately, Moen products fall into the former instead of the latter category. Twice in the past 15 years I've bought Moen products for a bathroom renovation project--instead of the Kohler products that I tend to use day in and day out. And both times those Moen products have failed quickly and indefensibly. The first time it was a Monticello faucet that the (cheap, chrome plated plastic) handle snapped off of. The second time was the above showerhead (model # 26092, which is sold at Lowes and various other retail outlets for about $35, but listed on the Moen website as the "Adler" model, at $125).
