Though expensive to do the whole bath (double sink, shower & hand shower, misc fixtures), the fact we had Moen valves installed made it a fairly simple process. All of the products we bought fit well and function as expected.There's not really much to the drop ell, but it's needed for the hand shower. The finish is good and it's easy to install. I figured I would stub out a chromed nipple and some trim. Further along, I thought there might be an actual fitting for this task, and here it is!In plumbing fixtures, you pay for quality. This is a high visibility part and if I went cheapo on it, I'd have to stand there every time I took a shower and be reminded I went cheap instead of first-class. I'm so glad I purchased this part. Everyone who has looked at my work seems to focus on this one part and remark how well finished the shower looks. The part itself is solid brass with a chrome finish. It may look in the picture like it is a fitting with a chrome cover, but it is one solid brass casting. It feels heavy for it's size, which is usually a good thing in plumbing. Yeah, you are going to pay a little extra for this gem, but it's worth the money. |
